Including printable games and junior-level resources makes it even more useful for studio teachers working with little learners.

Comment on Kindergarten Music Lesson Plans by Dr Anna Mlynek-Kalman https://funmusicco.com/kindergarten-music-lesson-plans/#comment-25724 Wed, 19 Mar 2025 21:42:06 +0000 https://funmusicco.com/?p=33886#comment-25724 Hi Janice,

I’m Dr Anna Mlynek-Kalman (PhD) and I’d like to let your readers know that I provide an on-line course helping teachers create reflective musical process situations in an effort to warm up their own voices. This help prepare them to sing with children and the helps warm their voices and children’s voices, simultaneously. Once teachers understand how to warm their voices through playful interactions with children they should be able to sing many of your songs more confidently, live with children. We find more and more teachers turn to using YouTube recordings as their music program which I would say in many cases becomes mis-education. To avoid this trap and to help teachers sing live with children, as part of my PHD I created a simple, easy to implement, Contour Vocal Play Framework. I have also created a simple 2 hour certified online course found here https://www.musicworksmagic.com/programs/100-organic-intro/

Thankyou so much Susan! Great to hear that your students enjoyed the Ukulele materials last year, and are into the bucket drumming too. Keep in touch and let us know you get on with the program.

Hi Fiona,
Usually the curriculum required to be used is different depending on what country and state you are in. If you send us a message at https://funmusicco.com/contact/ and let us know your City/State, we may be able to tell you where to find the curriculum requirements.

So true yet I had not thought of this comparison!
I’m in a small school with several year groups is my music classes – last year the Ukulele Curriculum saved me as the mixed ages love the visuals in a world of screens . (And the back up bands )
This term we have been following the bucket drumming as an introduction to playing music – again the kids love it and ask to do it again. The students are eager for the music classes – and so am I ! Thank you !

I’m newly teaching and have to create ESL lesson plans for each level.

Truly, Janice is concerned about us, not just being a good music teacher, but taking care of ourselves so we can bring enthusiasm, optimism and energy to our classes. Thank you!
